Several years ago, John Tang opened Mount Fuji Asian Bistro and Sushi Bar in the newly renovated Brightleaf Square in Durham. Mount Fuji is a unique blend of old class and new chic from their private Tatami room to their house DJs spinning trendy, new sounds, their classic wine and drink listings to their many wide screen plasma TVs and bar area. With a large sushi bar, with the widest variety of Japanese Sake and, in season outdoor dining, Mount Fuji has been very successful.
Now, John, in partnership with his wife Amy, has brought some of this success to Raleigh in the form of Sushi O. In addition to the Thai, Japanese, and Chinese menu, they have added Vietnamese cuisine to their extensive offerings. The opening of Sushi O on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh also brings John back close to his alma mater, North Carolina State University.
